We’re approaching the tail-end of CES, and we’ve seen some rather amazing tech announcements throughout the event. One of the companies showing off their newest tech is Minisforum. At CES, Minisforum showed off a new mini PC and a new storage device.
Let’s start with the AI X1 Mini PC
If you’re looking for a powerful computer that won’t take up too much space, then you’ll want to look into getting a mini PC. At this point. We’ve seen several mini PCs announced during CES this year, and they all offer some decent power. The AI X1 Mini PC is no different.
It uses the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, which is a capable CPU. One thing about it is that it’s not too power-hungry. While it’s an efficient chip, it can still get the job done. The computer is designed to run Microsoft’s Copilot, so the CPU is able to handle AI computations.
Moving onto the gaming, the AI X1 Mini PC uses the AMD Radion 890M GPU. With it, the computer supports games at up tp 60+ FPS. So, you’ll be able to do some serious gaming on this device when you’re not working.
N5 Pro NAS
The AI X1 Mini PC is for people looking for a powerful computer. However, what if you’re looking for a powerful storage device? This is where the N5 Pro NAS comes in. This is a storage solution powered by the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. You wouldn’t think that a storage device could benefit from a powerful processor, but it really helps with multitasking.
This is the storage solution for you if you need some serious storage. With five SATA bays, an M.2 NVMe SSD slot, and two U.2 NVM2 DDS slots, the N5 Pro NAS supports up to a whopping 144TB of storage. You can use different combinations of SSDs in it to suit your tastes.
This isn’t only a local storage device, as it can connect to the internet for network-based data transfers. It has a 10Gbe and a 5Gbe port. Together, they allow for data transfer speeds up to 1250Mbps.
